Partner Terms

These Partner Terms are the agreement between EGYPTIA and a travel agency or other business that recommends EGYPTIA journeys to its clients and earns a commission for it (the “partner”). They apply from the moment the partner accepts them in its partner area, and they sit alongside any written agreement EGYPTIA and the partner sign for a special commission rate. Where such a written agreement says something different, the written agreement applies.

1. Who we are

EGYPTIA is the trading name of KEMETIA for Touristic Services, a company established in the Arab Republic of Egypt. In these terms, “EGYPTIA”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean KEMETIA for Touristic Services, trading as EGYPTIA. “Partner” and “you” mean the business named in the partner account and every person it allows to use that account. “Client” means a traveller you recommend to EGYPTIA; “booking” means a booking of an EGYPTIA journey made on egyptiatours.com.

2. Joining and your partner area

• The partner programme is by invitation. EGYPTIA creates the partner account and sends an invitation to the contact person, who chooses a password and accepts these terms before using the partner area.
• Your partner area shows your personal link and code, the clients who came through you, their bookings, your commission and your withdrawals. Keep your password private; everything done in your partner area is treated as done by you.
• You confirm that the business details you give us are true, and you tell us when they change.

3. How a client is linked to you

A booking is credited to you when the client is linked to you in one of these ways:

• Your link. When a client opens egyptiatours.com through your personal link, that phone or computer stays linked to you for 30 days. The first valid partner link a visitor used counts; a later link does not replace it.
• Your code. On another device, the client can type your partner code when they create their EGYPTIA account or when they book.
• Refer a traveller. When you enter a client’s email under “Refer a traveller” (with the client’s permission), that email is linked to you for 18 months, on any device.
• An enquiry. When a client sends an enquiry or joins a list through your link, that email is linked to you for 18 months.

Once a client’s EGYPTIA account is linked to you, the bookings made in that account are credited to you, including a new booking by a client who has travelled with us before. A client can be linked to one partner only: the first valid link or code counts, and a later one never replaces it. A booking that comes through a partner does not also earn an EGYPTIA Rewards invitation reward.

No commission is earned on bookings made by you or your staff for yourselves, on bookings made with your own email address, on bookings created only to earn a commission, or on clients who were already linked to another partner.

4. Your commission

• Your commission is 10%, unless EGYPTIA has agreed a different rate with you in writing for you or for a journey. The rate in force when a payment is recorded applies to that payment.
• Commission is calculated on the money EGYPTIA actually receives for the booking, payment by payment, in the currency the client paid (US dollars or euros). No commission is earned on the part of a booking paid with EGYPTIA Rewards credits, on money that is refunded, or on amounts that are never paid.
• When a payment is received, the commission on it shows as pending. It becomes available once the client’s trip has taken place and the booking is closed as completed.
• If a booking is cancelled or lost before the trip, by the client or by EGYPTIA, the pending commission on it is cancelled, even where EGYPTIA keeps part of the money under the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
• A refund reduces the commission by the same percentage. If commission on a refunded amount was already paid to you, the difference is deducted from your next commission.
• Your partner area shows every commission line with its booking, amount and state, so you can check it at any time.

5. Withdrawals and payment

• You can ask for a withdrawal in your partner area once your available commission in a currency reaches the minimum of 750 (US dollars or euros). Each withdrawal takes all the available commission in one currency; US dollars and euros are kept and paid separately, and only one withdrawal per currency can be in progress at a time.
• EGYPTIA pays by bank transfer to the business bank account you entered in your partner area, within 30 days of your request. Your partner area shows each withdrawal as requested, processing and paid, with the payment date and the bank reference, or as declined with the reason.
• Bank details are approved by EGYPTIA before the first withdrawal. For your security, a change of bank details needs EGYPTIA’s approval and then a 3-day wait before a withdrawal can be requested, and a withdrawal is not paid to bank details that changed after it was requested.
• EGYPTIA pays the charges of its own bank. Charges taken by your bank or by intermediary banks are yours.
• You are responsible for your own taxes on the commission and for issuing any invoice your law requires. Commission amounts include any tax that applies to you.

6. How you promote EGYPTIA

• Describe EGYPTIA journeys honestly and in line with what egyptiatours.com shows. Use the prices, inclusions and terms published there, and never promise a price, a discount, a refund or a service that EGYPTIA does not offer.
• Clients book and pay on egyptiatours.com, directly to EGYPTIA’s bank account, and accept EGYPTIA’s Booking Terms and Cancellation and Refund Policy themselves. Never take money from a client on EGYPTIA’s behalf.
• Never present yourself as EGYPTIA or as acting in its name. You may say that you are an EGYPTIA partner.
• Respect the law in your marketing, including the rules on sending messages and emails. Send a client’s email under “Refer a traveller” only when the client asked you to.
• You may use EGYPTIA’s name, photos and texts only to promote EGYPTIA journeys, and you stop using them when the partnership ends.

7. Clients’ information

To protect travellers’ privacy, your partner area shows only what you need to follow your clients: first name and the initial of the last name, the booking reference, the number of travellers, the journey and dates, the booking status, the amounts paid and your commission. It never shows passports, contact details, health information or payment documents. EGYPTIA handles travellers’ personal information under its Privacy Notice. You are responsible for the information you hold about your own clients.

8. Suspension and ending the partnership

• Either side may end the partnership at any time by email. From that moment your link and code stop linking new clients.
• Commission on bookings credited to you before the end is still paid when it becomes available, under these terms.
• EGYPTIA may suspend a partner account or end the partnership at once in case of fraud, misleading promotion, misuse of clients’ information or another serious breach of these terms. In that case, commission obtained through the breach is not paid, and EGYPTIA may recover commission already paid for it.

9. Changes to these terms

EGYPTIA may change these terms by publishing a new version on this page with its date. You are asked to accept the new version in your partner area before you continue to use it. A change never reduces commission already recorded in your partner area.

10. Our relationship

You and EGYPTIA are independent businesses. Nothing in these terms makes you EGYPTIA’s employee, agent or representative, or allows you to make agreements or promises in EGYPTIA’s name. Each side is responsible for its own costs, staff and obligations.

11. Liability

Each side is responsible for its own acts. Where the law allows a contractual limit, EGYPTIA’s total liability to you under these terms is limited to the commission due to you in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect losses or lost profits. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes are submitted to the competent courts of Egypt. We always prefer to resolve a disagreement by talking first.
